Maybe there's a new version, or an update I can roll back, or something similar. Next steps for me are to troubleshoot the PowerPoint previewer. No more error messages, no more difficulties working with the files, no problems whatsoever. However, once I realized that, I then noticed in Windows Explorer's Preview Pane a message stating 'This file can't be previewed because of an error in the Microsoft PowerPoint previewer.' I immediately disabled the Preview Pane (Ribbon > View > Preview Pane) and everything starting working the right way. It took me a while to realize that I was getting this message even when I wasn't trying to open the ppt, but just clicking on it to select it.

Every time I tried opening, saving, etc, a PowerPoint file, I got the error message, 'There's not enough memory or system resources to start PowerPoint.' I had, in Windows Explorer, the Preview Pane enabled. I ran through most of the same Repair attempts. I'm running Office 365 Pro Plus on Windows 8.1 fwiw, it's a 32-bit Office on a 64-bit OS, though I'm not convinced that's relevant.

This is on multiple users machines, running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit So has anyone seen this before? Have any ideas? When I say we have everything we found on Google, I mean 'everything', registry fixes, updates, patches, uninstall/re-install, everything. Run in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode (this stops the error, but preview still does not work) Searched Google to the umpteenth degee for fixes and help with no joy Ran MS Fix IT to completely remove Office, reinstalled from Disk rather than Click To Run Word - 'sorry, something went wrong and word was unable to start (24)'Д®xcel - 'Not enough memory to run microsoft excel, please close other applications and try again' The applications work fine, but when trying to preview a file in Windows Explorer they varying error messages depending on the type of file being previewed. They are all running Office 2013 Home & Business 2013 32bit. We have an issue for users at one of our customers.
